NYC, according to Claire

There's a particular kind of New Yorker who has an answer for everything. Not in a know-it-all way but in a I have lived here, I have walked these eleven blocks a thousand times, and I can tell you exactly where the good grapes are way.
Claire O'Callaghan is that New Yorker.
When we started building this collection with her, we kept coming back to the same thing: Claire has taste, and she has it about everything. The latte. The lash tint. The order of operations on a free Saturday. So instead of writing a launch story about fabric and fringe, we just asked her questions and got out of the way.
What came back was a full itinerary, one bar she almost didn't want to name, a strong position on pockets, and a burger she will not be splitting with you.
Here she is.

You have a completely free afternoon in NYC. Where are we finding you?
Oh, I love this — I can give you a play-by-play.
We're starting with a workout at either solidcore or Ethea. From there we're going to Laughing Man for a cinnamon vanilla latte, maybe stopping at Meadowlane before or after for snacks. Specifically their grapes. Their grapes are something special.
I'll stop into Clique or the Westside for a little shopping on the way home, then get showered and changed, and meet up with friends or go with Will to Yves for a spritz. We'll bop around and see where the day takes us. Hopefully ending the night at The Odeon for steak frites.
What's one NYC place you almost don't want to share?
Smith & Mills. It's a neighborhood gem, and the guys in there treat us like family every time we're there. The cutest spot for a drink.
Your perfect NYC dinner — where are we going, what are we ordering, and what are we drinking?
Not to be so basic, but there is really nothing like the Fairfax burger. Aside from holy water — that's my second favorite. Plus tater tots.
I'm starting with the cabbage caesar, which is underrated. I'm getting my own burger and tots, because this cannot be shared. And I don't think I even have to say what my drink is. We all know at this point.

What's something your friends would say is very you?
An Aperol spritz and fries.
What's a tiny luxury you'll always spend money on?
A lash lift and tint. Life-changing — especially for my blondies.
What's always in your bag?
Most recently, SPF. I've become a crazy person about it, because those photos of the non-SPF face versus the SPF face genuinely scare me.
What's one thing you'll never leave the house without?
A portable charger and an emergency snack, because I get hangry. Also mints. I always have mints.
Are you a plans-made-two-weeks-ahead person, or a "what are you doing tonight?" person?
Oh, two weeks ahead, for sure. I wish I were a more spur-of-the-moment gal, but I'm a planner — I like to know my plans ahead of time. I'm such a homebody that if I don't have time to get in the mindset of going out, I won't want to go.

Which piece in the collection feels the most like you, and why?
That's such a hard question, but I think the Delphine Pant and/or the Blaire Mini.
The mini is sort of unexpected, because I'm not typically a mini girl — but the fringe and the cut are so fun, and it has pockets, which I feel passionate about. Why does fringe on a dress just make me happy? Maybe because it makes me want to move around and dance.
The pants are also very me. I love a comfy pant I can dress up or down and still feel like I'm in sweats. Comfort is key for me.
Where are you wearing the stripe set?
This set is taking me from coffee, to shopping, to a spritz.
If this collection were one NYC neighborhood, which one would it be?
Tribeca — and not just because I live here.
I would describe both as sophisticated fun. Everyone in Tribeca feels chic, whether they're running around with their kids, grabbing coffee, or heading to dinner. These looks can take you through all of it.

Sophisticated fun. Coffee to spritz. Pockets, non-negotiable.
We think she summed it up better than we could have.
