PLANET

Our planet is our inspiration. At Eddy, we are driven to protect and preserve the Earth, weaving sustainability into every decision to create a future where both people and nature can thrive.

PEOPLE

Our people are the heart of Eddy. We collaborate to create something beautiful, while uplifting and supporting one another every step of the way.

GOVERNANCE

Our principles guide us. At Eddy, we are committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical practices, ensuring that every decision reflects our values and builds trust with our community.

PLANET

FIBERS & MATERIALS
When selecting our materials each season, we take a lot of factors into consideration - look, feel, function, price, and environmental impact during production, use, and end-of-life. At Eddy, we prioritize natural, single fiber, and certified materials wherever possible.
NATURAL FIBERS
Natural fibers are central to Eddy's identity, making up 82% of our materials in 2024. Beyond their beautiful look and feel, natural fibers, when cultivated responsibly, are generally better for the planet than synthetics. One major benefit is that they are biodegradable, shedding only natural micro-particles throughout their use and end-of-life. In contrast, synthetic fibers release harmful microplastics that pollute our air, water, and land, ultimately contaminating our food and water.
SINGLE FIBER MATERIALS
Materials made from blended fibers complicate recycling and end-of-life solutions. Between 2023 and 2024, we reduced the amount of blended-fiber materials used in our assortment from 23% to 9% of our total materials mix respectively. This is a testament to our commitment to single-fiber materials that are not only easier to recycle but also better aligned with our long-term sustainability goals. Moving forward, we aim to ensure 90% of our materials are single fiber, limiting blended-fiber materials to 10% or less of our material mix each year.
CERTIFIED MATERIALS
Material production accounts for approximately 70% of a garment’s carbon footprint, before assembly even begins. However, replacing conventional or virgin materials with recycled or organic fibers can substantially reduce these emissions. Currently, sustainably certified materials make up only 43% of our material mix. By 2030, our goal is to ensure 100% of our materials, including packaging, are sustainably certified.
WASTE & CIRCULARITY
We acknowledge that waste can arise at every stage of the product life cycle unless proactive measures are implemented to prevent it. We collaborate closely with our partners to ensure that waste is minimized during planning and design, production, use, and at end-of-life.
PLANNING & DESIGN
From the start of our design process, we consider materials, construction, durability, and end-of-life to ensure a lower environmental impact throughout the product life cycle. Additionally, in 2024, we introduced a new inventory strategy to minimize unsold stock: producing a limited initial run of each style, assessing customer preferences, and then scaling production for the most popular designs.
PRODUCTION
We work with our suppliers to limit the amount of textile waste created during production. Where waste cannot be avoided, we work to turn it back into functional products. In 2023, we were able to transform production scrap waste into 300 bags, 250 facemasks, and 100 scrunchies. By 2030, we aim to recycle or repurpose 80% of textile waste from production.
CIRCULAR SHOP
Mitigating waste becomes most challenging once a garment leaves the factory and enters the hands of consumers, placing it beyond the brand’s control. To address this, in 2024, Eddy launched the Circular Shop in partnership with The Many Co., a company providing tailored fulfillment and reverse logistics solutions, as well as branded circularity. With the help of The Many Co., Eddy is able to ensure 100% of its unsold stock is kept out of landfills by finding a second life through resale or responsible donation. Visit our Circular Shop here.
GHG EMISSIONS
The fashion industry is estimated to contribute up to 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions. At Eddy, we are committed to doing our part to lessen these emissions. We are working to lessen our emissions through the materials our products are made with and packaged in, the places our products are made, and the way our products are transported.

SCOPE 1

DIRECT OPERATIONS

AS AN ECOMMERCE BRAND WITH A FULLY REMOTE WORKFORCE, WE GENERATE ZERO SCOPE 1 EMISSIONS.

SCOPE 2

PURCHASED ENERGY

1148.97 KG CO2E (MARKET BASED) AT LEAST 60% OF OUR PURCHASED ENERGY IS RENEWABLE THROUGH CLEANPOWERSF.

SCOPE 3

SUPPLY CHAIN

MOST OF OUR SCOPE 3 EMISSIONS ORIGINATE FROM OUR PURCHASED GOODS & SERVICES AND OUR UPSTREAM TRANSPORTATION & DISTRIBUTION.
MATERIALS
Material production accounts for approximately 70% of a garment’s carbon footprint, before assembly even begins. However, replacing conventional or virgin materials with recycled or organic fibers can substantially reduce these emissions. Currently, sustainably certified materials make up only 43% of our material mix. By 2030, our goal is to ensure 100% of our synthetic fibers come from recycled sources and 100% of our cotton use is certified BCI, Organic, or Recycled.
SUPPLIERS
We aim to partner with suppliers who use renewable energy at their facilities and share our commitment to combating climate change through responsible manufacturing practices. Our goal is to support suppliers who align with these values, helping to drive sustainability throughout our supply chain.
TRANSPORTATION
We see a significant opportunity to reduce emissions by shifting more of our shipments from air to sea. We found through conducting an LCA assessment that transporting an Eddy garment by air produces nearly 9x more greenhouse gas emissions than transporting that same garment by sea. By 2027, we aim to ship at least 50% of our purchase orders by boat each season.

This transparency fosters trust, supporting a more conscious and empowered shopping experience.
